Commercial, pragmatic and highly focused coaching

""I have worked with Debbie and the team at ECC both in this and my last organisation. They have provided executive coaching at both Director and Head of Departments levels and individuals value their support in helping them shape their vision and identify their personal strengths to enhance their own performance and effectiveness to drive personal and company performance. In addition, Debbie has worked with me to deliver an excellent Leadership Programme for our executive and management population where we have experienced a measurable change in leadership capability, helping our managers to develop strong and supportive personal leadership styles, and equipping them with the influencing and coaching skills to help their own teams to develop and deliver more. The ECC team has worked with us to deliver an excellent Leadership Programme for our executive and management population where we have experienced a measurable change in leadership capability, helping our managers to develop strong and supportive personal leadership styles and equipping them with the influencing and coaching skills to help their own teams to develop and deliver more. Managers who have attended the Leadership Programme have said the following: - The course opened my eyes to areas I was not aware of. I thought it was first class! - Debbie’s great – she has a great command of the material, and kept things moving along. - Debbie was helpful and patient and made the programme really enjoyable. She gave useful advice and picked us up on our weaker areas. There was a lot of learning involved but Debbie achieved a good balance between a learning environment and a casual atmosphere""

Executive Coaching

ECC clients describe their executive coaching as commercial, pragmatic and highly focused coaching. They create robust strong and confidence-building working partnerships which are underpinned by sound coaching principles and well validated techniques.

Once a relationship based on trust and rapport is established, the ECC coach challenges thinking and assumptions to support the individual in their goal setting. Key elements of the coaching include:

  • Coaching objectives are agreed early on in each assignment, encompassing both short term goals and longer term aspirations. To incorporate an organisational dimension, the manager is frequently involved at the outset.
  • An important part of this process is an understanding of how the individual is working currently, as well as reflecting on their key strengths and challenges.
  • The coaching supports the individual to think creatively and develop their thinking to produce realistic and effective strategies for them and for their organisations.
  • The coach supports the individual as they pursue the achievement of their goals. The coach will focus on execution of intentions, retain emphasis on success and capture learning.
  • The format of the coaching is based on an agreed period of time or number of sessions which is determined by the client's agenda and needs.

Executive coaching provides a uniquely challenging and yet supportive working partnership that benefits the individual and the organisation in which they work. The Executive Coaching Consultancy has built an impressive track record coaching leaders, directors and high potential senior executives in a wide variety of sectors, including both private and public organisations.
